Our puppies are all born in our home, or in the case of our Frenchies at the veterinarians since they have c-sections. French Bulldogs, need to be bred by AI, and are normally born by c-section. C-sections also mean the moms will only have a few litters in their lifetime. I often sleep on the floor next to the mom and new babies to keep an eye on them during the night for awhile. They are wonderful caring moms, but not very coordinated after a c-section for the first couple days and will accidentally sit, or lay on their babies. As the babies get stronger they can crawl out from under their mom a bit easier. Raising Frenchies is definitely not for everyone!
When our moms retire we have them spayed and offer them to pet only homes for about half the cost of a puppy.
The price of hard to raise puppies in breeds like French Bulldogs and Bulldogs (commonly known as English Bulldogs) is simply greater due to the difficulty and cost involved of raising the puppies.

A Frenchie puppy is a very serious decision. 8 to 14 years of care and companionship. Please do not get a puppy or a dog if you have any hesitation about long term responsibility of a furry best friend. We love our puppies and dogs and only want them in a home where they will be a part of the family!
Frenchies are heat and cold sensitive. Not at all able to go hiking in all weather type of dog. Some are amazingly agile, fast, and athletic and do tolerate a wider range of temperature. Others are and are at risk of collapsing if overheated when simply out on a warm day and playing.
Many make terrific therapy dogs. They are very sturdy and tolerant of children. See Fiona's story on the parent page.
Frenchies are just super silly dogs, our Frenchies love everyone and get along wonderfully with the other dogs and cats.
so much milk it was coming out his nose!
Meatie K and Merlin had 6 puppies 8-9-17. 4 male and 2 females.
Photos day they were born. They are all doing great. Mom is wonderful with them! She had so much milk it was coming out their noses! Well fed puppies :)
She has one white with black (or very dark brindle markings) male, one half and half white with black male, one seal female with bit of white, one seal male with a bit more white then the female (picture showing his arrowhead on his chest), a blue merle male, and a cream female.
We may retain the blue merle male.
Puppies adopted for a pet that are on agreement to be spayed or neutered between 5 and 6 months of age are $2500. which includes microchipping.
Rizzo, Andrea's brindle has been bred to Brutus and is due September. They will probably all be a variety of color, fawn, cream or brindle color.
Frenchie and Buster have 5 female puppies! Born 7-21-17. 2 are cream and 3 fawn. Andrea is going to retain a puppy and my son is also going to retain one of them. These are Andrea, our vet tech's, puppies. Frenchie and Rizzo are her 2 frenchies she has with us on a breeding contract. They get lots of socializing with her 3 children and other rescued dogs they have as pets.
We have a deposit on a third, and maybe 4th puppy, to be chosen yet. At the time of this update 2 fawn female puppies are available.
